Summer Intensive | Back Handspring Clinic
The McKeon Dance Center is proud to host our summer intensive week with the most fabulous teachers! Our dancers have the priviledge to attend a week of master classes with teachers/choreographers from all over the nation!
Alexis comes to us from Hofstra University in NY where she will be graduating with a degree in dance and exercise science. She is a member of The Boston Tap Company and an apprentice Hillary-Marie Michael's Jersey Tap Festival. She has choreographed many pieces for companies and clubs throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York.
Brea was a semi finalist on season 2 of the highly acclaimed show “So You think You Can Dance”! Brea is well versed in all forms of dance and has trained and assisted some of the top teachers and choreographers in the country including Mia Michaels, Stacey Tookey, John Crutchman, Dee Caspary and assisted Doug Caldwell at his Broadway Dance Center, NYC, Intensives. Touring with regional ballet companies.
has an extensive background in both fitness and dance. She holds a BFA in theatre and dance and has performed professionally across the U.S. and Europe. . She is an AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) certified group exercise instructor with specialty certifications and/or licenses in resistance training, Pilates, Zumba®,Zumba Kids and, Zumba Toning® and the Bender Barre method.

Casey was a member of the national award winning dance team at McKeon Dance Center for 13 years. She is currently in her senior year at Arizona State University where she majors in dance and is the choreographer for the ASU Dancing Devils as well as the local high school dance team. She is also a freelance choreographer for Mckeon’s and local Arizona studios.
Courtney launched her Professional Dance career in the off Broadway production of the Musical "ONE" at the Alabama Theater in Myrtle Beach. In 2003, Courtney was chosen to represent the United States in the World Show Dance Championship in Riesa, Germany and won the Adult Solo Championship at this prestigious event. Courtney has been teaching dance and choreographing in the RI and SE Mass area, with her students achieving high score recognition at a number of competitions.
is an accomplished dancer, teacher and choreographer. She started at the McKeon School at age 3 and has never left. A National Dance Champion herself, Danielle was also a member of the McKeon Team Chosen to be part of the first United States delegation sent to participate in the “10th World Gymnaestrada” in Berlin Germany in 1995. Danielle is one of the top recreational dance teachers in the area. She takes the same creative approach to all her classes, beginners through advanced.
After college Emily began teaching at Mckeons. In 2010, she received the Ultimate Choreography Award from "Beyond the Stars Talent Competitions". Along with this extensive background, Emily has taught master classes at local colleges and dance studios including Bentley College among others. Emily's objective as a dance teacher is to instill the love and passion for dance into each and every student while focusing on personal growth and developing a students' self esteem.
has an impeccable reputation in the New England dance world. She is known nationwide for her teaching and choreography, and is in constant demand as a teacher and adjudicator for dance competitions and conventions across the country. Hope has been teaching and choreographing at McKeon’s for the past 6 years. Hope had the prestigious honor of being nominated and to perform her choreographed Acro-Gym Production "GLORY" for President Bush.
Raised in New England, Kimi Duncan is now based out of New York. She is a professional freelance makeup artist and hair stylist. She attended Make-Up Designory and graduated with a certificate in Multi-Media makeup and hair. She is an award winning dancer and choreographer that we are honored to have as our guest!
Lindsey graduated with her BFA from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. She has worked and performed with companies and artists such as Roni Koresh/Koresh Dance, Michael Susten and Company, Pennsylvania Ballet, and Philadanco. . Most recently, Lindsey has traveled to Europe, South America, and Hawaii with Norwegian Cruise Lines where she served as dance captain, performing in shows created by directors such as Rachelle "SAS" Rak and Tiger Martina. Known through out New England for her contemporary and jazz master classes, Lindsey's students and choreography have received national level recognition and continues to teach and share her passion of dance with children.
Peter Sabasino, a native of Philadelphia, PA, began his dance training at the age of four at a local dance studio. At the start of his senior year, Peter graduated his dance school and began traveling back and forth between Philadelphia and New York to study at Broadway Dance Center, and Steps On Broadway where he had the opportunity to train under such greats as Gregory Hines, Savion Glover, Barbara Duffy, Tyce Diorio, Rhapsody James, and Brian Green, to name a few. After college Peter was blessed with what he considers his BIGGEST achievement and landed a spot as a Top 16 Finalist on Fox Television’s hit reality show, “So You Think You Can Dance” season 6 being the last of three Tap dancers to be eliminated, and the only Tap dancer in the show’s history so far to make it as far as the top 16.
Sarah-Katarina “SKooJ CorE-O” Jerome brings her knowledge and talents to with experience in performance, choreography, instruction, and adjudication, with her present main focus on Commercial/Theatrical Hip Hop and Contemporary dance but is strongly trained in many other styles. She is a member of the New England-based Static Noyze Dance Company that has been seen on MTV’s American’s Best Dance Crew and is a Master Teacher,
was educated in Almaty and Moscow, and brings more than 30 years experience from his native Kazakhstan as a producer, artistic director, choreographer, and ballet teacher in numerous realms that include theater, circus, and television. His broad experience also includes direction and production of traditional Kazakh festivals and dances in his native land. Mr. Baidaralin was the chief choreographer for Kazakhstan at the opening ceremony of the XX Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980. Mr. Baidaralin has the pleasure of helping to bring the great American and Kazakh cultures closer together.
